BYDFi Copy Trading and the Changing Way Traders Discover Strategies
Crypto trading used to be a very individual process.
You found a market, built your own strategy, placed your own orders, and adjusted everything manually.
Copy trading changes that model.
Instead of starting from a blank screen, users can begin by observing how other traders approach the market.
That is what makes BYDFi Copy Trading interesting to me.
BYDFi allows users to follow selected traders and automatically replicate their positions through the platform. The product is designed so that different traders can be explored directly inside the exchange environment.
What I find most interesting is not the automation itself.
It is the discovery process.
A user can look at different trading styles, compare how people approach markets, and decide which type of strategy feels more relevant to them.
That creates a different kind of platform experience.
Instead of only asking:
“What should I trade?”
users can also ask:
“How are other traders approaching this market?”
That makes copy trading part trading tool, part strategy discovery tool.
BYDFi also introduced Smart Copy Trading for perpetual markets, with proportional order sizing and dedicated positions for copied traders.
From a product perspective, I think this is where copy trading becomes more interesting.
It is not only about repeating someone else’s trades.
It is also about making different trading approaches easier to discover inside the same platform.
And that may be one reason copy trading has become such a visible feature across modern crypto exchanges.
